Who we are
Cnect (씨넥트) is a medical tourism agency registered with Busan City (Reg. No. A-2025-02-02-06355), located at #302, 47, Gwangjang-ro 2beon-gil, Sasang-gu, Busan, Republic of Korea. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through thecnect.com and our messaging channels.
What we collect
- Contact details you provide: name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number.
- Inquiry details you choose to share: treatments of interest, travel timing, number of travellers, support you need, and your questions.
- Technical and visit information: pages visited, device and browser type, approximate location, and the link or ad that brought you to our site.
Please do not send medical records or test results through our website forms. If medical information is needed to arrange a consultation, we will ask for it separately and only with your consent.
How we use it
- To reply to your inquiry and arrange your consultation, clinic visits, interpreting, transfers and aftercare coordination.
- To improve our website and services.
- To measure the effectiveness of our advertising.
Sharing with partner clinics
We share the information needed to arrange your visit with the partner clinics you choose, only with your agreement. Clinics handle your medical information under their own obligations as healthcare providers.
Analytics and advertising
We use Google Analytics, Google Ads and Meta (Facebook/Instagram) tools to understand how visitors use our website and to measure our advertising. These tools may use cookies or similar technologies and collect information such as pages visited, device type, approximate location and the ad you clicked. We do not send your name, email, phone number or health information to these platforms as part of this measurement. You can limit cookies through your browser settings.
How long we keep it
- Inquiries that do not lead to a service: deleted 1 year after our last contact with you.
- Records of services you used (bookings, arrangements and payments): kept for up to 5 years, or longer only where Korean law requires it.
- Website analytics data: kept according to the retention settings of the analytics tools (up to 14 months).
You can ask us to delete your information earlier, unless we are required by law to keep it.
Service providers
We use the following providers to run our services. Some of them may store or process data outside the Republic of Korea.
- ChemiCloud — website hosting
- Google — email, website analytics and advertising measurement
- Meta — WhatsApp messaging and Facebook/Instagram advertising measurement
- Kakao — KakaoTalk messaging
Your rights
You may ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, or withdraw your consent, at any time by contacting us. We will respond within a reasonable time.
