Our process
Three checkpoints.
Your surgeon makes the medical decisions. These are the steps we add so nothing is missed between you and the hospital.
- Before surgeryPre-op results checked
We go through your pre-op exam results with you before you agree to surgery: whether you are suitable, which procedure or lens is recommended, and why. If anything is unclear, we ask the hospital before you decide.
- If a condition is foundUniversity-hospital advice
When your exam shows an eye disease or an unusual finding, we seek advice from a university-hospital ophthalmology professor before surgery is planned.
- After you fly homeAftercare with no limit
Questions or symptoms after you return home? Message us as often as you need. We stay in touch with your hospital and help you with next steps. There is no limit on follow-up check-ins.

FAQ
Questions, answered.
Does Cnect perform the surgery?
No. Exams and surgery are performed by licensed ophthalmologists at our partner eye hospitals. Cnect is a Busan City licensed medical tourism agency: we coordinate your care, interpret, and look after you before and after surgery.
What if my pre-op exam finds a problem?
We talk it through with you and the hospital. If an eye disease or unusual finding comes up, we seek advice from a university-hospital ophthalmology professor before surgery is planned. You are never pressured to go ahead.
How long does aftercare last?
There is no limit. After you fly home, you can message us as many times as you need, and we help you with next steps together with your hospital.
Can I have SMILE LASIK on a weekend?
Yes, on Saturdays. Surgery is not available on Sundays. Many people living in Korea book a Saturday surgery so they need less time off work.
