FAQ
Questions, answered.
Can both eyes be done in one trip?
Usually yes. The second eye is operated one or two days after the first, once your surgeon has checked the result. A 5-day stay covers both eyes comfortably.
Does cataract surgery hurt?
No. Anesthetic drops numb the eye and the procedure takes about 15 minutes. Most people feel only light pressure and see well within a day or two.
Which lens is right for me?
It depends on your eyes and lifestyle. Monofocal lenses give sharp distance vision; extended-depth and multifocal lenses reduce the need for glasses. Your surgeon advises after measuring your eyes.
When can I fly home?
Most patients fly after the final check, 1–3 days after surgery. Your surgeon confirms before you leave.
Do you also treat retina conditions?
Yes. Our partner hospitals have retina specialists for macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy and retinal detachment. Ask us for a consultation.
What happens after I return home?
You receive a drops schedule and check-up plan in your language, and your coordinator stays in touch for any questions during recovery.
